POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician I position involves working in the building maintenance crafts or trade areas required for maintaining parks, buildings, and City of Branson facilities. Examples of work include maintenance, construction, building and equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, mowing, and maintenance of the grounds and athletic fields. The work consists of a multitude of regular or assigned tasks, which vary from day to day. This position works under the direct supervision of the Park Maintenance Supervisor II and/or the Maintenance Superintendent.

CLOSING DATE:            Until Filled

WORK HOURS:             Sunday 11:30 am - 8:00 pm, Monday 9:30 am - 5:30 pm or 11:30 am- 8:00 pm, Tuesday through Thursday 7:30 am -4:00 pm; Shifts may vary during peak season. 

WORK LOCATION:        In and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite. 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:    The starting hourly wage is $19.86 per hour and will increase to $20.65 per hour after 6 months of successful probation.  Please click on this link for compensation/benefits information

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING
A high school graduate or GED equivalent is required.
One (1) year of experience in performing semi-skilled building, mechanical, construction, or grounds maintenance tasks is required.
Ability to properly operate medium level equipment, such as a zero turn mower, a bobcat, trash truck, and snow plow with spreader is required. 

MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be highly engaged in the department's goals and be able to work cooperatively with the Parks and Recreation leadership in achieving those goals.
Must possess a high degree of integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position. 
Must possess a valid Class B CDL license or obtain within 12 months of hire date.
Must obtain OSHA 10 certification within 12 months of hire date.
Must obtain certification in Bucket Truck, Crane Truck, and Fork Lift Training within 12 months of hire date.
Must act safely and follow safety standards while at work. 
Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug and alcohol screenings.
