POSITION SUMMARY

The Concessionaire plays a vital role in delivering the best quality customer service experience for guests at the Branson RecPlex. Primary functions of this position are to prepare concession food items, provide service and hospitality to guests and handle cash. This is a part-time seasonal position and the hours fluctuate depending on program and events schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Requires a regular and consistent physical presence in the City of Branson parks and recreation facilities.  The duties include the following:     

  1. Behaves in a manner that promotes a productive, healthy, safe and positive work environment by:

  2. Follows the legal and ethical direction of supervisor(s).
  3. Provides high quality service to guests by offering them food and beverage items for sale.
  4. Ensures cleanliness of concessions area.
  5. Prepares food items and restocks as necessary.
  6. Greets guests of the AquaPlex and sporting/special events, accepts admission payments, and gives directions.
  7. Assists with inventory and completion of end of shift balance report.
  8. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to operate POS system, accept payments, count money and make change for guests.
  • Ability to speak effectively before guests and team members.
  • Ability to prep and handle food with proper hygiene while following safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
  • Ability to stay patient and positive under pressure.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands and working environment, which follow, is representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

The employee is required to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to twenty-five (25) pounds with assistance or specialized equipment. Ability to stand, talk, hear, and maneuver within stand for a majority of shifts.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

Work may involve moderate exposure to elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • Six months cash handling experience preferred.
  • Six months customer service experience preferred.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION

  • Must be able to pass required food handling course.
  • National Career Readiness Certificate preferred.
