The Public Works/Engineering Department is seeking a dedicated Street Maintenance Lead to guide a dynamic crew
in the daily upkeep and enhancement of our city's streets and sidewalks.
What You'll Do:
- Equip & Train Crews – Ensure teams have the right tools, functioning equipment, and proper training for safe and efficient work, including operating snowplows and aerial lifts.
- Manage Work Zones & Safety – Set up and maintain temporary work zones following MUTCD standards, ensuring public and crew safety.
- Utilize Technology – Use computers, handheld devices, and geo-data tracking for timekeeping, job site navigation, and equipment monitoring.
- Lead Street Crews – Oversee and direct daily operations, including street repairs, sweeping, ditch maintenance, and winter weather response.
- Get Hands-On – Perform essential tasks like concrete and asphalt repair, tree trimming, mowing, and snow plowing.
What are the Requirements for this Role?
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least three (3) years of experience in performing street maintenance or closely related field.
• Certification in work zone safety from IMSA or LTAP.
• Right-of-way applicator's license for herbicide.
Miscellaneous Requirements of this position
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
• Be willing to participate in Call-Out duty, On-Call duty rotation, work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and emergency calls outside of normal work hours.
• Be willing to work snow routes that include 12-hour shifts during the months of November through March.
• Possess a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake endorsement.
• Be able to pass a background investigation, drug and alcohol screenings, as well as a physical agility screening.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The starting hourly wage is $25.66 per hour and will increase to $26.69 per hour after 6 months of successful probation.

WORK LOCATION: In and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite.
